I know this sounds like a strange combination but try it! Not only is it delicious but this smoothie may improve your heart and brain function. It may also lower your cholesterol.
This recipe makes 4 servings.
Ingredients:
First layer:
- 1 Avocado, peeled and cut into cubes
- 1 cup Plain yogurt, low-fat
- 1/2 Lime, juice
- 45ml Honey
Second layer:
- 1 1/3 cup Wild blueberries, frozen
- 1/4 cup Almond butter, or you can use smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup Plain yogurt, low-fat
- 1/3 cup Milk
Method:
First layer –
- In a blender, blend the avo, yogurt, lime juice and honey.
- Pour mixture, equally, into 4 serving glasses
- Wash the blender.
Second layer-
- Add the berries, almond butter, yogurt and milk to the blender and blend.
- Top your first layer with your second layer.
- Serve and enjoy!
