Ozone Therapy and Acne

Puberty is definitely one of the worst stages of your life. Not only do you feel permanently out of sorts with the world, but your hormones go on a rollercoaster ride.

This results in violent mood swings, depression, stress, anxiety and worst of all ACNE. The most common form of acne is located on the face. 50% of people who have acne on their face will get back acne and 15% will get acne on their chest. There are 6 main spot types, these are:

  • Blackheads are small black or yellow bumps. They are not filled with dirt but the inner lining of the hair follicle produces pigmentation.
  • Whiteheads are similar to black heads but when squeezed they don’t empty. They are a lot firmer than blackheads.
  • Papules are small red/ pink bumps that feel tender or sore.
  • Pustules are similar to papules but have a white tip in the centre. This is due to a buildup of pus.
  • Nodules are large hard lumps that build up beneath the surface of the skin and is usually painful.
  • Cysts are the most severe type of spot caused by acne. They are large pus-filled lumps. This type of acne carries a great risk of causing permanent scarring.

Getting rid of acne can be easy in some cases and very difficult in other. When you start developing acne the first thing one has to do is get the right face wash and to get into a healthy skin routine. There are lots of products on the market. Try a product for at least one month before making your decision, face products can tend to make your skin worse before it gets better. Drink lots of water and stay away from oily, greasy food. Try not to touch your face too often and NEVER EVER pick at your acne spots. The oil on your hands will clog your pours and worsen acne. Constantly picking at your spots will not only worsen acne but the chance of developing scars doubles. If you find that your product works, but not well enough, try going for a monthly facial. Facials can do wonders for any skin type.

Ozone Therapy can also help get rid of acne. Ozone Therapy neutralises toxins and impurities in the body, improves blood circulation which breaks up puss and kills bad bacteria. Ozone Therapy balances out hormones, fights stress, anxiety and depression and it improves your overall well being.
