Sweat: The big picture

It is a fact that we all sweat, some more than others. We are all born with sweat glands, which activate as soon as we hit puberty. It has been calculated that women on average have more sweat glands than men, but a man’s sweat glands are more active.

The most common cause for sweating is hot weather, exercise or when you are nervous or angry. Other causes may include:

  • Caffeine
  • Tobacco
  • Fever
  • Infection
  • Cancer
  • Complex regional pain syndrome
  • Low blood sugar
  • Menopause
  • Hyperhidrosis
  • Spicy food
  • Withdrawal from alcohol, nicotine or drugs

Unfortunately people who suffer from severe sweating may usually have an unpleasant odor. Especially people who sweat severely from under their arms and feet. This can be very embarrassing. It can also hinder you from getting that job you desperately want or even keep you from the relationship you have been longing  for.

Did you know, the sweat from your feet is equivalent to about 1 cup of water?

Ozone Therapy may ease the cause and effects of severe sweating and may even reduce odor. Ozone therapy has shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, improve blood circulation, neutralize toxins and impurities in the blood, assist in bodily organ function, kills viruses, fights cancer and aids in detoxing the body.

Will you be ending the battle against sweat?
