Portion control has been top of the weight loss charts for many years  now. Professionals claim that by eating the right portions, you can basically enjoy all types of food even the naughty ones. I approve this message!

I have been quite skinny for most of my life but there has been times where I have enjoyed all the wrong things a bit too much and did I pack on the pounds quite quickly. As soon as my pants are sitting a bit too tight I know I should focus a bit more on what I’m eating. Prevention is key.

How much should you eat of each food group daily? 

  • Fruit – 4 servings
  • Vegetables – 5 servings
  • Grain – 6 servings (preferably whole grains)
  • Meat & beans – 5 servings
  • Milk – 3 cups
  • Oils – 6 teaspoons
